Computer-based IELTS

You have answer the Reading, Listening, and Writing tests on a computer with the questions presented on the screen in an official IELTS test center. The speaking test is not on the computer and is carried out face-to-face with a trained IELTS examiner.

Types Of IELTS Tests

IELTS Academic is for test-takers who are aspiring to study an Undergraduate or Postgraduate Program or courses in a university/college in English speaking countries and for those who are seeking professional registration in countries such as in the UK.

IELTS General Training is for test takers who wish to migrate to English speaking countries such as UK, New Zealand, Australia, Canada and Ireland and for those who wish to study Secondary education.

IELTS Academic and IELTS General Training for UKVI are designed to meet certain administrative requirements that are specified by the UK Home Office. This test is for candidates who are applying for Tier 1 and Tier 2 Visas.

The actual test is as same as the IELTS test in terms of test format, question type, and scoring. However, the test report forms will be slightly different from those of the regular IELTS test.

IELTS Life Skills test is approved by UKVI as a Secure English Language Test. This test is for candidates who are applying for a ‘family of a settled person’ visa, extension of a ‘family of a settled person’ visa, or for indefinite leave to remain or citizenship.

This test assesses the candidates speaking and listening skills at level A1, A2, or B1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.

Batches

If you are a student and can manage to come on regular basis then Raghu Gaddam recommends to enroll yourself for regular batches. Our schedule for regular batches is from Monday to Friday, five days a week.

Alternate Batches

If you would like to invest your time for practicing at home, then Raghu Gaddam recommends to enroll yourself for alternate batches. Raghu Gaddam conducts alternate batches in which you need to come 3 Days a week on alternate basis.

Weekend Batches

If you are working or can’t manage to have free time on weekdays, then Raghu Gaddam recommends to enrol yourself for our weekend batches, which is only on Saturdays and Sundays.

Sunday Batches

In case if you are having a busy schedule from Monday to Saturday, then Raghu Gaddam recommends to enrol yourself for a Sunday Special Batch, However you need to discuss the timings with our trainers.

The Listening and Reading parts of the IELTS test  are scored out of 40 and then converted  to a  band score which ranges  from  band 1  to  band 9.The Listening and Reading tests contain 40 questions and each correct question will be awarded 1 mark (so the maximum a test  taker can score here is 40).  Band scores, ranging from band 1 to band 9, are  awarded based on the raw score

The Listening, Reading, and Writing parts of the test are completed immediately after each other on the same day.  Speaking test on the same day, or up to 7 days before or after your test date.

If you take IELTS on computer, the Speaking test will be taken  either before, or after the other three parts of the test.

If you take an IELTS on computer test, the Reading, Writing and Listening parts of the IELTS test are completed on a computer, but the Speaking test is Virtual or face-to-face with an IELTS examiner.

In the IELTS Listening test, the recording is played once only. It is important to concentrate from the beginning until the end for the whole 30 minutes.
